My name is Pam Henson and I am the creator of Escalade Bullmastiffs along with my daughter, Jamie. I have been involved in training, showing, and breeding dogs since 1980, Jamie has been involved in training, showing, and raising dogs since she could walk. I started in Rottweilers and have bred/shown several champions. We have always loved the Bullmastiff breed. We are members of the ABA (American Bullmastiff Association) and the CBF (California Bullmastiff Fanciers).About 9 years ago we bought our first bullmastiff female. She was a beautiful girl that only stayed in our lives 14 months, as we lost her to lymphoma. This devastated our lives. I said I wouldn’t get another, until I met Tracy Ferrick, with Wild West’s Bullmastiffs. To see her passion and love for this breed, she convinced me to try again. That’s when we got our Male “Hawk” (Ruff’s Wild West Tomahawk). We love him very much and he is the resident couch potato. We received “Pepper” (Am/Int. Ch.Wild West’s Red Hot Chili Pepper) May 2003. Tracy started showing Pepper and with back to back wins earned her first four points. In April 2005, I received her International championship. Very shortly after, I earned her last eleven points to receive her American championship, with limited showing, . “Pepper” is the reason why we started “Escalade Bullmastiffs”. We bred her in 2006 and she had 14 gorgeous babies. We kept 5 of her babies, Tracy has 2, and the others have fantastic loving homes that love and spoil each and every one of them. We believe in producing/breeding bullmastiffs that are certified in hips, elbows, and cardiac. We do not breed for business! Our interest in our dogs is our passion and hobby. We love each and every one of our dogs, even the ones that have other families now. If you receive a dog from our family you become apart of our lives for life. We believe in protecting the integrity of the breed not hurting it.
